McCain was right to cancel with Letterman. McCain had a full schedule when something important came up. He had to cancel something so he looked at his list and the most obvious to cancel was the interview with the UNFUNNY, STUTTERING STAMMERING NUT JOB, DAVID LETTERMAN.
David Letterman is not funny and he is ignorant. All his show is talking about sports, bashing Republicans and other guests, talking about his son and stuttering and stammering half the show. He make Bush look like an eloquent speaker.
I emailed CBS and told them they should send him to speech school and put the unfunny ignorant b@stard out to pasture or throw him off a cliff.
Letterman should also get his nose out of B. Hussein Obama’s @ss

*rolls eyes* My god, some of you people really have your priorities screwed up. Katie Couric works for a news medium, while Douche Letterman hosts a stupid late night television show that is based on comedy and celebrity status. You don’t know what sort of time constraints McCain had, and apparently you don’t know that showing up as a guest on a stupid show that no one watches anymore isn’t really high on the list of priorities for anyone, let alone a politician.

Amazing. McCain lied about hurrying to Washington, as his excuse why he couldn’t make it to Letterman. At that exact same time he was supposed to be in Letterman, he was doing an interview with Katie Couric.
If it’s the truth, it will be on his head until he dies, and even beyond that, as his “legacy” of “integrity”.

As some people here have said, no one should give Letterman any weight.
Except if you value the truth. Comedians are actually some of the most incisive commentators who pretty much get away with what they want to say because they play the fool. Only real fools cannot see the meta-message behind the quips.

Capt. Kirk – he lied when he told Letterman that he had to cancel the show because he had to rush back to DC for the emergency regarding the economy he just said last week was “fundamentally strong”. Then instead of “rushing back” to DC, he had an interview with Katie Couric and didn’t get on a plane to go back to DC until the NEXT DAY!

These chat show hosts should really stay nuetral and say nothing, same with celebrities really, plus if they back a candidate who goes on to win and become President and then everything goes wrong, and the President gets marred in controversy, the chat show host or actor or musician is going ot look a real idiot in the long run. Best to view politics with a cynical roving eye.

You put trust in a late night comedian?Those guys have writers whop spend their time trying to ridicule everyone, and only a snappy joke keeps them on top of the ratings.If you trust letterman, it is time to not vote, and lay back and enjoy the by lines.
