Probably. But what’s worse are all the people who think it’s public business and keep gossiping about it.

In the first place, he should not have messed around. Everyone thinks he is so nobel for owning up to his transgressions. I am quite sure his wife enjoyed being embarrassed on national t.v. then there is the fall out on those he had his trysts with. Now every tabloid and I am sure lawyer is out looking for them to get their story or to sue him for sexual harassment. Understand this before you counter with it was consensual. It does not matter, if a co-worker who was not involved but was aware of it and felt uncomfortable by it that too, is grounds for sexual harassment. Also, a couple of these women were interns, they could always say that they felt their position was in jeopardy if they did not consent with an authority figure above them. We don’t know the whole story yet, he did pay for one of the girls college education because of their affair. That is illegal. There is a lot more to come from this than what we know now.
I think you will find it was not so much courage as fear and hopes of stopping a lot of problems before they get started. His wife is yet to be heard from. When a person is running for his or her life, they will always try to put the best spin on it possible. If his former lovers live in boy friend whom she broke up with, had not found her diary and none of this had come to light, he never would have said a word. And we don’t knoiw if he has been paying any of these women all along for their silence. So emphatically YES! he was wrong, dead wrong for having affairs with not just co-workers but in all reality subordinates in the work place. That is what is known as “Quid pro Quo”

It my understanding, he did not have affair, these encounters took place prior to them being married or being engaged. It was wrong of him to be using his position of influence which is unethical, but what he did prior to his marriage is his business. At least he owned up to his mistake. I am not going to judge him, nor should anyone we all have things in our past.

We had a similar situation at my job and let me tell you, it is UNFAIR to all the decent, honorable hard working co-workers who do NOT get all the “perks” the freaking whore gets that is just a piece of azz the boss is USING.
Its a HORRIBLE situation to put your subordinates in.
Most of you dummies are looking at this from a “cheating” aspect…..open your minds people to the bigger picture!

In any other environment I would say it’s no-ones business. This is different. He is in a conceived self belief of power over many people, his employees. If his employees felt pressured to have sex or loose their jobs, that’s another matter. His wife will have to deal with it on her own. I’ve seen this happen in low management positions. It’s crazy what a little power does to people.

if it’s discrete and the interactions do not occur at the workplace….no big deal….however, it is very hard to remain professional for workplace romance.
i don’t think that management should frat with non, and he is in a position of power, and women love that.

Letterman’s a man and I don’t think he’s done anything different from what other men do (not all men). He’s a celebrity, that’s why it’s so blown up right now. Of course, it’s wrong, but who are we to judge. What about the women that were involved?

Who are we to judge? What goes on between that man and his wife is their business. Personally, I think he should have never made that public he just added more fuel to the fire. I understand he was trying to beat the media to the punch, but come one. This is humuliating for his wife I don’t care if they just got married..that makes it worse…if he wanted to come clean, he should have done so before marriage.

I’d divorce his cheating butt. And yes he was wrong, cheating is always wrong. It’s cool he had the balls to admit it true he only did that because he got caught. Had no one made a stink about it or tried get money out of him, he’d probably still be banging girls on the side.

    I would definitely leave him,
I don’t believe him when he said that was all in the past. Why stop until now?
He’s such douche bag for doing that, I have a feeling he’s the type that “promoted” the hell out of those skanks for sleeping with him.
    Whatever.

Of course he was wrong for having affairs at his workplace. if I was his wife i’d be divorcing him. I can forgive one affair but when you have many then it’s wrong. One time is a mistake; more than once is stupidity.

It doesn’t concern us. Cheating is never a good thin, though to be fair they were not married at the time… still though, they’d been together for YEARS.
It didn’t take guts, it was a way to make it so there was nothing to black mail.

Yea the jerk had no choice he was being blackmailed it was going to come out one way or the other..Just makes him look alittle bit better by him admitting it..

I would feel angry and hurt. He only went public because he was being threatened with blackmail. I had always liked David Letterman now I just think he’s a dog.

It’s not a good idea for the boss to sleep with employees. It can lead to lawsuits.
