Then again, Democrats consider rape jokes have been funny, though not ones about Al Sharpton, bootleg aliens, or hurtful Democrats. Let’s not dont think about how Democrats longed for to take to court those Danish cartoonists.

Just listen to these Libs. They call Palins daughter whores… What the hell do you expect from these hateful hypocrites? By the logic of these tolerant Liberals anyone who gets pregnant is apparently a whore. They love what Letterman said. Hell they say it all the time.

No. Letterman said Palin LOOKED slutty and that her daughter WAS slutty. Now, Bristol may only have been fooling around with ONE guy, which doesn’t make her a “slut.” But she DID get, to use Letterman’s term, “knocked up.” So Letterman’s joke, while in bad taste, was completely understandable.
Contrast that with Imus: He has a 40-year record of bigotry against nonwhite people. He is malicious and only sorry that he got caught, not for his malice.
By contrast, Letterman did not insult an entire race. He insulted a woman and her daughter, a woman who put said daughter into the spotlight by the mother’s choice, not the daughter’s — so much for “consent,” of a minor (as she was at the time) or otherwise. Whether Bristol had it coming can be debated, but Sarah absolutely had it coming.
And no Democrat wanted to prosecute Danish cartoonists. Unlike you right-wingers, we believe in freedom of speech.
I won’t comment on Severin because I don’t know the story there.

Of course they did! Liberals are known for their double standard! Michael Richards and Jimmy the Greek Synder have never said anything worse than Chris Rock or Arsenio Hall, but their the wrong color! By the way, have you ever really listened to rap!? It wasn’t a “rape joke”.
He was obviously referring to the daughter who’d already been knocked up once, who is 18 years old.
Leave it to right-wingers to spin things beyond all recognition, like the John Kerry “Stuck in Iraq” joke.
